Taisuke Sato
Born in Nagoya-city, Japan, in 1969.
In 1991, he graduated from Social Science at Ritsumeikan University, Kyoto, Japan, and joined a housing manufacturer.
In 2017, he was diagnosed with bipolar disorder. After grappling with his condition, he made the transition to freelance photography in 2020.
He became a member of a street photography salon organized by New York-based photographer James Maher.
In 2023, he studied at the ACSI G. Matteotti Palermofoto ®︎ photography school in Italy, completing a program on alternative processes.
He is currently enrolled in the graduate school (Photography and Movie Area) at Kyoto University of The Arts.

Themes of identity, the meaning of life, and societal relationships are central to his work. Additionally, he researches creating works using pictorialism, employing classical techniques.
